On April 1st, at Parizza+Gusto in Paris, the 100% Italian Institute— a non-profit cultural association committed to promoting and protecting authentic Italian supply chains around the world—presented the “100% Italian” awards to businesses in France that stand out for their authenticity and dedication to spreading true Italian gastronomic culture: restaurants and pizzerias that serve as benchmarks for Made in Italy excellence.
The ceremony took place during The Italian Show, the international format created by I Love Italian Food, which—following the opening stop of its 2026 tour in Berlin—arrived in the French capital as part of one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to pizza, snacks, and contemporary foodservice. Over two days of meetings, training sessions, and networking opportunities, chefs, restaurateurs, buyers, and industry professionals came together with the goal of strengthening professional dialogue between Italy and France through gastronomic culture.
The 100% Italian Award was created to recognize those who, beyond Italy’s borders, choose to represent Italian cuisine and products with seriousness and awareness. It is not only about preparing an excellent dish or offering an authentic product, but also about preserving and passing on a heritage made up of territories, production chains, traditions, and artisanal expertise.
During the ceremony, Alessandro Schiatti, President of I Love Italian Food, emphasized the meaning of the award:
“Being 100% Italian today, outside of Italy, means making a responsible choice. It means working every day with authentic ingredients, respecting supply chains, and building a consistent narrative around our cuisine. It is a concrete commitment that concerns not only what is served on the plate, but also the way Italy is represented around the world.”
The selection of the awarded businesses was curated by the 100% Italian Institute with the support of its Made in Italy Ambassadors—Italian professionals living abroad who have deep knowledge of the local market and of the value of gastronomic authenticity.
With the Paris stop, the 100% Italian project continues its international journey, further promoting restaurateurs, professionals, and businesses that contribute every day to representing and spreading authentic Italian gastronomic culture around the world.
