I Love Italian Food is pleased to announce the come-back in 2023 of The Italian Show, the Made in Italy events for international restoration, with the upcoming German event in Cologne on 6 June, organised in conjunction with the Associazione Cuochi Italiani in Germania.
After the success of the previous editions, The Italian Show has become an opportunity to showcase Italian excellence together with the protagonists of foreign dining out.

A one-day event all about authentic Italian F&B, with three main objectives: educating, tasting, promoting. The Hotel Maritim (Heumarkt 20, Köln) will host the event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., exclusively addressed to professionals of the sector.

Many protagonists will animate this second German edition of The Italian Show. On stage, indeed, some of the most important chefs and restaurateurs representing Made in Italy in Germany, and not only, will perform with talks and show cooking, such as: Enrico Bergonzi, President of Parma Quality Restaurants to tell about the Food Valley supply chain; Matteo Ciancio, Executive Director of Big Mamma Deutschland; Cristina Bowerman, well-known chef of the starred restaurant Glass in Rome; Simone Dallosta, winner of the 2022 edition of “The Best Chef of Italian Cuisine – Parmigiano Reggiano Award”.
The performances will continue throughout the day in the Tasting Station, where the Chefs of the Associazione Cuochi Italiani in Germania will cook and taste authentic Made in Italy products; in the Enoteca, dedicated to the introduction of new trends in Italian wine and wine tasting; in the Bar Station, where bartenders will create original cocktails with performances from the world of mixology.

But the great novelty of this edition of The Italian Show will be the great Pizza Show, an area entirely dedicated to the storytelling and training of the world of pizza, with guests who will take the stage at the Pizza Show such as Filippo Licciardo, President of the German National Pizzaioli, Gaspare Squitieri (Pizza Zulù, Best Pizzeria in Germany),  Massimiliano Grande (Piazza Sorrento), Salvatore Mandellino, (Pizzeria Mr Pizza).
This is a great opportunity for all out-of-home operators in Germany to meet some of the leading chefs and pizza makers representing our culture in the world, but also to get in touch with Italian food & wine excellence, in the exhibition area of The Italian Show.

Finally, the event will host the final of the culinary competition that will award the Best Upcoming Chef of Italian Cuisine in Germany, hosted by the well-known Stefania Lettini. The six finalist chefs will compete on the stage of The Italian Show and try their hand at preparing an Italian dish of original creation. The winner will be decided by a jury of well-known chefs from France and beyond, chaired by Chef Gianluca Casini, President of the Associazione Cuochi Italiani in Germania.

The event is exclusively dedicated to professionals and the press, who can register free of charge on site and online at the following link: https://iloveitalianfood.it/project/the-italian-show-colonia-2023/
