On February 19th, Dubai witnessed the brilliance of its night with an extraordinary event: the Aftershow organized by I Love Italian Food, an occasion to celebrate Made in Italy in the United Arab Emirates. Held in conjunction with the prestigious Gulfood, the largest food & beverage fair in the Middle East, the event marked a return to the scene after four years since the last gathering, with the parenthesis of the pandemic that has further heightened the anticipation.

Taking place on the 50th floor of the Emirates Towers, at the brand-new Amunì Restaurant, the Aftershow treated guests to an enchanting networking evening, enriched by a 100% Italian menu curated by Executive Chef Alessandro Miceli, an icon of Italian cuisine in Dubai for nearly two decades. The menu successfully made the most of the products of the partners who supported this initiative: Mulino Caputo, Latteria Sorrentina, Acetaia Giusti, La Rustichella Tartufi, Matilde Vicenzi, and the Consortium for the Protection of DOC Prosecco.

Among the delicacies offered, the attention and care for the quality of Italian products stood out, captivating attendees with authentic and genuine flavors. In addition to the menu, a bar station featured the renowned Prosecco DOC, the official sparkling wine of the evening, and a mixology based on Giusti Vermouth, providing guests with an unforgettable sensory experience.

The event saw the participation of some of the best Italian chefs in the Emirati scene, along with food industry influencers and F&B professionals who had come to the city for the fair. It was a moment of sharing and discovery of Italian excellences, a unique opportunity to celebrate the culinary culture of the Bel Paese and strengthen the ties between Italy and the United Arab Emirates.

Alessandro Schiatti, President of I Love Italian Food, enthusiastically commented on the event, emphasizing the importance of promoting Made in Italy worldwide and the association’s constant commitment to bringing the authenticity and excellence of Italian products beyond national borders: “We are extremely proud to have brought back the Aftershow to Dubai after four years, at such a significant time for the industry.
