flour, 2 + 1/3 cups
baking powder, 2 tsp
sugar, slightly less than 1 cup
fresh eggs, 2
stoned cherries, 11 oz
natural yogurt, 0.8 cup
vanilla essence, 1 tsp
confectionery sugar


Preheat the oven at 350F.
Beat the eggs with the sugar to a creamy consistency. Grease a 5 cups loaf baking tin and sprinkle it with flour.
To the egg mixture add yogurt, vanilla and sifted flour and baking powder. Mix the ingredients well.

Pour half of the mixture on the tin and put the cherries on top. Cover up with the rest of the mixture.

Put it in the oven and bake for 40 minutes until the top looks golden brown. If the cake is still wet inside return it to the oven with the door left adjar for another 10 minutes.

Let the cake cool down for a few minutes then turn it out on a wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
