INGREDIENTS PER 6 PEOPLE

Flour, 1 cup
Baking powder, 2tsp
Corn meal, 3 tbsp
Lemon zest, 1
Sugar, 1/4 cup
Butter, 3/8 cup
Strawberries, 7 oz + a few more for decoration
Strawberry jam, 4 tbsp
Egg, 1
Powdered sugar

PROCEDURE

Put the flour, the cornmeal, egg, lemonzest and diced butter in a bowl and mix well. Rub the mixture with your hands to resemble fine bread crumbs. Put half of it in a round baking tin covered by baking paper and spread the jam on top. Cut the strawberries into thin slices and place them on the jam. Cover with the remaining pastry and cook 370 F for 30 minutes. When the cake has cooled down decorate it with icing sugar, jam and strawberries.
