The storytelling I want to show is related to a Sicilian recipe that is very famous all over the world, I’m talking about Sicilian cannolo. This fabulous sweet is a fried cannolo full of sheep ricotta cheese and pieces of dark chocolate. The recipe includes very often the introduction of candied fruit and pieces of candied
orange. The origin of this sweet seems to be Saracen. The cannolo would have been produced originally by all the women of the harem and the recipe would have been handed down even after the coming of Normans. If this recipe still exists after centuries all over the world, there’s a reason, it’s great!
