INGREDIENTS PER 7 PEOPLE
all- purposed flour, 7,3 Oz
Baking powder,1 Tablespoon
Apples, 4
Granulated sugar, 7,2 Oz
Unsalted butter, softened, 8,4 Oz
Whole eggs, 3
Vanilla extract, 1 Teaspoon
A pinch of ground cinnamon
Plain yogurt, 7 Oz
Dark chocolate chunks, 3,5 Oz
confectioners’ sugar, for dusting
PROCEDURE
Preheat oven at 325 F degrees.
Grease a 9-inch cake pan with baking spray or butter and flour.
In a large bowl sift together flour and baking powder, and set aside.
With a hand or stand mixer cream well butter and sugar at medium speed.
Add the eggs (one at the time), vanilla extract, cinnamon and yogurt.
Reduce the speed, then, add slowly the flour mixture until well incorporated.
Peel, core and cut the apples into small cubes.
Pour half of the cake batter into the pan, then half of the apple cubes and half of the chocolate chunks.
Pour the remaining cake batter, then the remaining apples and chocolate chunks.
Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a wooden skewer comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan on a cooling rack.
Serve sprinkled with confectioner’ sugar.
