For the &#8220;fruit base&#8221;: pour the sugar and water in a saucepan, add the orange liquor and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.<br \/>\nLet simmer for 2 minutes.<br \/>\nCool the syrup in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.<br \/>\nIn a bowl mix the orange juice to the syrup and the partially whipped cream.<br \/>\nPour the mixture into the basket of the gelato machine and process according to the manufacturer&#8217;s instructions.
