Berlin, March 2, 2026 – The Italian Show launched its new annual tour in the German capital, choosing the Italian Embassy in Berlin as the institutional setting for its fifth edition dedicated to the German market. The event, conceived and developed by I Love Italian Food, transformed the Embassy’s spaces into a hub for dialogue, education, and exchange among hospitality professionals, distributors, importers, and trade media, reaffirming Italian cuisine as a tool for cultural and economic relations between Italy and Germany.

Following previous stops in other German cities, the arrival in Berlin marks a significant milestone in the format’s international journey. Not only for the symbolic value of the venue, but also because this edition officially inaugurates the 2026 tour, reaffirming the project’s mission: placing content, expertise, and professional exchange at the forefront.

The day unfolded across thematic stages dedicated to technical training, trend analysis, and the promotion of Italian excellence. Among the masterclasses were renowned chefs and pizza makers, including Antonio Lagalante of Ristorante Lagalante, who presented a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional cuisine with the masterclass “Fave e fogghie.” Master pizzaiolo Davide Civitiello explored techniques and quality standards for gluten-free pizza, while Mirco Battaglini, Executive Chef of Cecconi’s Soho House Berlin, shared his approach to contemporary Italian cuisine within an international context.

On the pizza techniques front, the four-hands performance by Filippo Micalizzi and Jessica Giovannoli explored the biodiversity of ancient grains, guided by the storytelling of Emmanuele Cirillo (Malafemmena, Berlin). The day was further enriched by in-depth sessions dedicated to two Italian PDO excellences—Asiago cheese and Pane Toscano PDO—as well as guided tastings of Italian wines for attending professionals.

A key role in shaping the content was played by the Istituto 100% Italiano, the cultural association that supports the project in selecting guests and developing educational content. Its mission is to ensure that the narrative of Italian cuisine abroad is grounded in expertise, professional experience, and respect for production supply chains, maintaining coherence between tradition, innovation, and cultural responsibility.

Alongside the educational sessions, the event fostered networking between Italian producers and operators in the German market, creating a setting for direct engagement between qualified supply and demand. In this perspective, The Italian Show confirms itself not merely as an event, but as a professional platform capable of generating long-lasting relationships and concrete opportunities for Made in Italy businesses.

A highlight of the day was the presentation of the “100% Italiano” awards, granted to restaurants, pizzerias, delicatessens, and individuals who stand out in Germany for their commitment to promoting authentic Italian cuisine.

With the Berlin edition, The Italian Show 2026 thus begins a new international cycle, strengthening its role as a space for education, culture, and professional dialogue. A project that interprets Italian cuisine not only as production excellence, but as a shared language capable of creating connections, enhancing expertise, and building communities.
