DIFFICULTY: 2
30 minutes
INGREDIENTS PER 20 PEOPLE

Self raising flour, 6 oz
Sugar, 1,5 oz
Vanilla essence, 1 tbsp
Lard or Butter, 2 Oz
Egg, 1
Milk, 4 or 5 tbsp
Sesame seeds

PROCEDURE

Mix the flour, egg, sugar and vanilla essence using a fork, then add the lard or the softened butter.
Mix well and slowly add the milk, until you reach a soft consistency. You can use your hands or, if you prefer, an electric mixer.
Roll the pastry and make long sausages, about 1/2 inch thick.
Put a handful of sesame seeds on a plate and moisten them using a little water, that will prevent them from burning in the oven. Roll the pastry in the seeds.
Then cut the “sausages” into small strips and flatten them slightly by pushing them using your finger tip.
Line them up on a greased baking tray, then bake them at 374F for 15-20 minutes until golden.
